As President and Creative Director, Banks Wilson drives the strategic and creative direction of every project at Studiobanks and puts his fine arts degree to good use as one of the firm’s primary designers. Since founding Studiobanks in 2002, Banks has led the firm to countless awards for excellence in design and communication including an AAF Charlotte Best of Show ADDY, several AIGA Charlotte Boom Awards and a much-coveted Webby Award.

An avid collector of board memberships, Banks currently serves on the AIGA Charlotte advisory board and holds the position of communications director on the AAF Charlotte board of directors. Ever the orator, he has also participated in various speaking engagements for AIGA Charlotte. He recently served as an adjunct professor of a senior level design class at UNC Charlotte where he enjoyed instilling fear in students while dispensing worthwhile information.

Despite having neither the power nor authority to bend the laws of time and space, Banks maintains that he does, in fact, have free time. He enjoys filling up this alleged spare time by waterskiing, wake boarding, kayaking and generally looking for any excuse to hang out at the lake.
