Part festive shindig, part Occupy North Pole rally, Studiobanks' annual holiday extravaganza was full on yuletide merriment! Armed with protest signs, adult beverages and an endless supply of cookies, we celebrated the season and helped spread the word about the Occupy-NorthPole.com movement. Really, though, we just acted like silly revelers who'd had a bit too much wassail. Fortunately, we had a photo booth set up so we could capture all of the holiday magic and use it for blackmail in the new year. Check out the slideshow below!

So all of sudden it’s November. Pumpkins are old and busted and the new hotness is Christmas (or the December holiday of your choice). Now that your Facebook feed is just about clear of your friends’ Halloween costumes, here comes Studiobanks with some Halloween nostalgia.

Remember 2006? Oh man, those were the days. We were just a couple of crazy kids back then, planning our “Snakes on a Plane” viewing parties, arguing about Pluto’s viability as a planet, applying Head On directly to our foreheads.

It was during this more innocent time (when we were getting duped by Lonelygirl15 instead of Bernie Madoff) that Studiobanks welcomed Will Jardine and Christy Vannetta. Congrats to Will and Christy – thanks for all your hard work!

Today’s edition of the Charlotte Business Journal includes a “Big Ideas” feature in their Entrepreneur section on our very own Banks Wilson. Many thanks to the Charlotte Business Journal for the feature and for showing some love for Charlotte digital and creative communities. Check out the article in today’s issue of the Charlotte Business Journal, online (if you have a subscription), or read all about it below.

Studiobanks had its Open House last Thursday and man was it epic! Friday morning instead of the usual coffee and headline perusing, it was all face tattoos, tigers and whiteboard graffiti. Also, Andy was missing, which was not great news because he was supposed to be getting married on Sunday (true story, congrats Andy and Lindsay!). We’re not 100% sure what went down at the Open House, but here’s what we’ve pieced together so far...

Who doesn’t love clean air? At Studiobanks, it’s one of our favorite things in the whole world. Sadly, Charlotte is the 10th smoggiest city in the country, so clean air isn’t something we get enough of around here. On May 14th, Clean Air Carolina held a 5k Clean Air Run to raise awareness about Charlotte’s poor air quality and support their education and advocacy programs. They certainly got our attention - Studiobanks was one of the events’ sponsors! To learn more about Clean Air Carolina, visit their website.
