Motorsports Safety Technology (MST) is an alliance between NASCAR and the Indy Racing League (IRL) dedicated to researching and developing innovative safety technologies that help reduce the number of severe injuries due to racing. In 2002, MST began integrating the revolutionary Steel and Foam Energy Reduction (SAFER) Barrier technology into all NASCAR and IRL racetrack walls. The technology, which is an energy absorbing soft wall system, is a remarkable achievement in racetrack safety that reduces G-force energy on impact of high-speed accidents by more than 50%.

Recognized with numerous awards including a Best of What’s New Award by Popular Science magazine, MST has expanded the technology’s license to other racing leagues and new construction projects around the world. To further these global outreach efforts, MST saw tremendous value in launching a digital marketing platform to effectively promote and communicate the technology’s tremendous benefits, including increased track marketability. Studiobanks partnered with MST to launch a Flash-based website that combines a cutting-edge design, energetic animation and an engaging content strategy that showcases the benefits of this life-saving technology.
